Life-Flo Melatonin Cream (2 oz)

Melatonin is a naturally occuring human hormone. Its has a 24 hour rhythm – with peak levels in the early morning and dips in the afternoon. Melatonin is produced by the pineal gland; a pea-sized gland located deep in the brain and is responsible for maintenance of our daily biological rhythm. Supplementation of melatonin may be supportive for individuals who are having poor sleep health (1). Blood levels of melatonin can be abnormally low in people with insomnia, sleep apnea, shift work and jet lag (2). Blood levels also decline with age (3)and there is significant interest in the use of melatonin as possible anti-aging benefit. To check the melatonin levels in your body, Try the SleepCheck at home test kit for melatonin hormone. Melatonin supplementation orally has been shown in perimenopausal and menopausal women in a randomized clinical trial to improve mood and even minor depressive symptoms (4). Melatonin production is initiated by darkness; hence melatonin supplements should be taken at night. Melatonin levels peak between 2:00 and 4:00 am. However, melatonin is more than the hormone that regulates sleep. Research indicates that melatonin may improve brain function and may also be one of the most powerful anti-aging hormones yet discovered. Melatonin is also a powerful antioxidant. Researchers are also studying Melatonin’s effect on preventing or helping Alzheimer’s (5)and Parkinson’s disease (6). Researchers have discovered that the pineal gland is the body’s “time clock” and regulates the body’s rate of aging. Melatonin given to 18-month-old mice (the human equivalent of 60 years) has been shown to dramatically reverse aging, extending their life to the human equivalent of 105 years (7). Like many other hormones, melatonin levels decrease with age. The Melatonin 3 measured dosage pump dispenses the doctor-recommended 3 mg. of natural melatonin. There are approximately 40 doses per 2 oz. dispenser. Warnings We highly recommend that an individual uses no

Is there any danger to reoccurent sleep paralysis?

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

I have experienced sleep paralysis for the first time ine my life on wednesday morning and last night it happened twice. I was wondering if t here are any dangerous in this. I went to the doctor’s thursday on a unrelated note and told him about my experience and he explained that it was sleep paralysis. I have somethign wrong with my heart (need further tests to know what it is), could a heart defect cause sleep paralysis? Or something like sleep paralysis?

Sleep paralysis i a frequent phenomenon in youg and anxious people.
We call it "parasomnias" (to impress people), and there are several of them
One, the most frequent, is the sleep paralysis ( not a real paralysis but really scares away the wits out of you), and seeing "insects" crawling on the wall when you are half asleep or half awake…another parasomnia, is falling to the floor for some few seconds, after a burst of laughters..
Sleep paralysis is experioenved by 83,6% of all people, in one moment of life or another, however its extremely common in anxious, young people.
The feeling is being awake for some few seconds 10-20, and being unable to move any part of your body, even when you are aware that you are awake, and have the purpose of moving the limbs…and cant do so…until you can move a toe for instance, and the ability to move spreads to the rest of the body in 2-3 seconds….
Its a very frightening experience, to say the least. however it is caused by anxiety, and will dissapear alone or if annoying too much, then mild amounts of antidepressants (amytriptiline 25 mg ate bed tome or imipramine 10 mg) usually resolves the problem.
Is an all too common question of young people in reproductive age, and aven more scared (unnecesarily so) are boys and girls between 8 to 14 years of age..
Nobody has been harmed or diseased by sleep paralysis,….its more annoying than dangerous (it bears no danger in itself, however it expresses daytime anxiety)
Tou will be OK no matter what…

why do some depression sufferers experience insomnia while others experience hypersomnia?

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

What are some of the psychological reasons why one person suffering depression might sleep constantly and another experience acute insomnia?

I cant say for sure, but the first thought that came to mind is that everyones body chemistry is different and that may be why.

Personally, I went thru years of insomnia until I found Ambien. Thank the good Lord for Ambien.

Sleep Paralysis: Don’t be afraid!

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

This is a short, poorly edited video response for anyone “suffering” from sleep paralysis. I feel I know quite a bit about SP (its history, common “symptoms,” techniques for avoiding it, techniques for making it more common, its ociation with lucid dreaming and out of body experiences, as well as techniques for moving from sleep paralysis to out of body experiences and lucid dreams). I started to make a video thoroughly explaining all of this, but realized it was going to be extremely long and possibly for nothing. Didn’t want to spend my time if it wasn’t worth it. Anyway, if you are interested in knowing more, you are welcome to ask. I don’t know everything, but I know how the experiences work with myself and many others. Background music by Woven from the album “Designer Codes” for sale on itunes. Worth every cent and then some!

How do I stop my husband from intense snoring?

How can I manage the insomnia associated with stopping Remeron?

Saturday, August 15th, 2009

I stopped taking Remeron last Thursday (as directed by my psychiatrist), and have been experiencing moderate insomnia. Note that insomnia was never a problem before (on or off Remeron). I tried Valerian but it doesn’t seem to hit the target and I feel wired. Does anyone have experience/suggestions that helped?

Alot of people that have used prescription medications such as this one have suffered this problem at one varied point or another in their life, some even more than others such as possibly your case. However, there are many that do not want to use addictive drugs and that is completely understandable, but I know how to treat insomnia, naturally. For a very economical price you can get a natural melatonin supplement from your local Wal-Mart in the vitamin section which helps your body to produce more natural Serotonin at bed time to enhance sleep. There are zero side effects, other than a good nights sleep, and it is non-habit forming. It is just a great vitamin supplement.

Search the key word "Melatonin" on your Yahoo search engine to confirm what I’m telling you. It naturally provides me a great nights sleep every night after trying for years to sleep at night before I found this dietary supplement. I wake refreshed and full of energy as I am only promoting my body’s own ability to sleep. The best brand comes in a purple bottle from the company "Natrol" and is labeled Melatonin 5mg (1 tablet at night). Again, it is non-narcotic as it is a natural supplement and is found in the vitamin and health section at your local Wal-Mart. It’s the best kept secret for sleep I’ve ever experienced for a great nights sleep every night. By helping the body to produce more Serotonin, which is your body’s "chill out" hormone, the Melatonin lowers stress, eases your mind, and thus promotes restful sleep.

What is sleep paralysis and does it make u get sick?

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

I just experienced sleep paralysis yesterday for the first time, i dreamed about someone waking me up which is impossible cause i always lock my door. and when i opened my eyes i saw this black figure standing beside my bed. I freaked out and cant scream and move, the next day i got fever, runny nose and cough, am i being possesed?

I’d describe SP as the threshold between dreams and reality. Normally before you go to sleep your whole body paralyzes so that you don’t act out your dreams. Most of the time we are already at an unconscious state at this moment, but if you are conscious you experience the SP.

Your mind is still "awake", but your body begins to feel strange and the mind associats this to danger most of the time, so you get a very spooky feeling most of the time. And yes you can open your eyes in this moment and you hear weird repeating noises sometimes.

Still it has its advantages because you can sort of "leave" your body and enter the dream state right away into a lucid dream, which is a transition that is simply undescribable in words.

And no you are not being possesed, although it is a scary feeling the first time, if you relax thorugh the process you can actually benefit from it.
