    Anything that stops …
Anything that stops up sinuses & narrows air passages is going to make sleep apnea worse & asthma. My sinuses used to run & run. In high school a doctor cauterized my sinuses to stop this. So now they don’t run, they swell. I also have nonwheezing type asthma but the sleep apnea itself definitely gets worse from second hand smoke. Dropped out of school 3 times because of second hand smoke. Have migraines when sleep deprived. Have autism too which made getting diagnosed hard. Docs only saw that.

    Tobacco smoke and …
Tobacco smoke and dust may trigger an small asthma attack which would make it harder for you to breathe at night but does that have anything to do with sleep apnea?

    Does this thing …
Does this thing sense when you are underbreathing and increase the air flow automatically? My sleep apnea gets worse when I’m exposed to even one whiff of tobacco smoke and is worse out in the real world than it is in the hospital clean sleep clinic. It also gets worse after six or so hours of sleep so I have never been able to get enough relief from a CPAP machine. The doctors don’t even believe how bad I am doing out in the real world.
